To Whom It May Concern:

It is my honor to recommend Robert Ennis and his ministry, Oaks of Justice for any ministerial position. I have known Robert for 4 years, since we met in 2003 through our bands playing together. Through these years I have seen Robert perform solo and with his band, lead adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in music, give inspiring speeches to children and youth, be a steadfast Catholic, and be a loving father and husband.

This first thing I noticed about Mr. Ennis was his unbridled passion for Christ. Within minutes of speaking to him you feel the love and passion of Christ radiate through him. This is obviously very beneficial when he is giving talks to children and youth because they are drawn in and captivated. He is not afraid to let his emotions flow and never afraid to speak the gospel. He is a great guitar player and singer as well. He is able to perform beautifully solo, or to lead a band masterfully. His crowd interaction, and ability to draw in and excite any crowd, is a sight not to be missed. I was able to play a numerous amount of shows with Robert and Oaks of Justice with my band Seven Sorrows. I considered them my brother band and always looked for opportunities to play together. I am amazed by his amount of talent and versatility. I have seen him play acoustic, funk, rock, jazz, fusion, and even to children.

Above all, Robert Ennis is a man of God, a true warrior for Christ. His devotion for Mary and the Eucharist is truly beautiful. He truly understands the word ministry and how we are called to be servants. His devotion to the Catholic Church is phenomenal and unwavering. He has had a beautiful marriage for 14 years bearing the fruit and blessings of 7 children. He has the priceless support of his wife and his family.

For all these reasons, I am pleased to recommend Robert Ennis and Oaks of Justice for any position in ministry or music. He/they will be an asset to any church that welcomes him/them. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions by phone at 909-560-0985 or by email mike@sevensorrows.com.

Sincerely,
Michael Grothem

"SCRC Day 2" by marvizu on September 5, 2004, 1:25 am, in category General

I just came back from what seems a full day of praise and worship. From the people I have talked to, it seems to be an exhausting day. From the looks of their faces, that seems farther from the truth.

I just came back from Jesus & Java, the nightly social of SCRC. The bands were awesome, and the music was nonstop. Some of my favorites included Oaks of Justice, whose lead singer, Robert Ennis, I was thrilled to meet, along with his wife, Kimberly. Check out the band, where you will be able to hear samples of their music and view bios of the band at www.oaksofjustice.com

Our band, SOHL (Singing of His Love) did just a jammin' set. I was in pain afterwards due to the stress that is inolved in playing a musical insturment. The adrenaline was pumping like crazy as the moment approached to go on stage. We set up quickly and began our set. We were well received.

To: Robert Ennis and the Oaks of Justice

On behalf of the St. Louis of France Youth Ministry it is an honor to express our sincere gratitude to Robert Ennis and Oaks of Justice. Your contribution of spirituality through music touched many of our students’ hearts. It was a blessing and a joy to hear your own personal testimony of how the Lord’s presence has fulfilled your heart. The combination of your music and testimony added a profound level of peace and serenity to our confirmation retreat.

We anticipate that you will continue to touch many hearts and souls through the gift of your ministry. Our youth look forward to yet another captivating experience with Robert and the Oaks of Justice. May the Holy Spirit continue to guide you…. Rock on Robert!!!

Dear Robert,

Praised be Jesus Christ!

Forgive my tardiness in getting this expression of gratitude to you!

May God bless you and all of the Oaks of Justice for your powerful and heartfelt ministry to Catholic young people.

I believe that your performance at our Petrus Youth Group meeting was very effective for our teens. The music ministry of the

Oaks of Justice is clearly a blessing to the Church in Southern California – may God enable you to spread His Word and bring worship to His Name among many more youth as you have done here for us!

Dear Robert,

Praised be Jesus Christ!

Forgive my tardiness in getting this expression of gratitude to you!

Your teaching and personal witness to our Petrus Youth Group here at St. Joseph's Center was a valuable addition to this year's program – my Core Team and I were very happy with your presentation, and I do not need to tell you how attentive our young people were!

I believe your own personal journey, and your particular life experiences have been what they have been as part of God's Plan - not only for your own life and salvation, but for the instruction, the encouragement, and ultimately, yes, the salvation of many, many young people. Your powerful experience of God’s Grace drawing you out of the deceptions of New Age philosophies and the traps of drug use are a powerful beacon of light custom made by God for the blessing and enlightenment of His young people. May Jesus continue to use you powerfully in His Church, and continue to pour His Word through you for the Salvation of His youth.

In Jesus and Mary,

To those Considering a Novel Approach to Discussions with Teens:

I am writing to recommend a group of married couples who speak to teens about life. The foursome of Robert and Kimberly Ennis, and Steve and Leslie Schell call themselves Oaks of Justice. These speakers engage teens in frank discussions about who they are, and tell them of the beauty of God’s plan for their sacred human sexuality. They are able to put across to the students the Truth of God’s plan—that having sex is not "just a physical thing people do when they feel attracted," but a sacred act which expresses a totality of loving commitment and selfless giving between a man and a woman who have declared before God their intention for lifelong union. From my perspective as a long time Confirmation teacher, I can tell you that they were well received by our youth (who can definitely be a tough audience when it comes to this subject).

Last fall, I was looking for a pair of chastity speakers to address our students at our Confirmation retreat. I had previously had other Christians come in to speak, but I was looking for a couple with a truly Catholic perspective, since some of the information which the students needed to hear just had not come through previously. When I came upon these two couples who could perform this valuable service for our youth, I was very excited.

While discussing the retreat, Steven and Robert offered a suggestion that might help the retreat end on a high note. It would give the students something which they could look forward to…a mini-concert, which our speakers were able to arrange because they are musicians as well! Their music drew the students in, and even those who did not want to attend the retreat initially found themselves interested. The lyrics of their music further enhanced their message because they sing about what it is to be a Christian. My students told me that it was the best retreat they have ever attended…and that’s probably the best recommendation anyone could give them.

Oaks of Justice is a group of committed Catholics who are enthusiastic about their Faith. Their exuberance comes through not only by word and example, but also in their music. May God bless their ministry!

Subject: MANY THANKS FOR YOUR YES TO GOD IN YOUR MUSIC
Date: 7/25/2005 11:14:54 AM Pacific Daylight Time

Dear Rob and Kimberly,

Just wanted to say what a delight it was to see you Rob and get to hear firsthand how well things are going for you in your new venture. Somehow, in my exhaustion on Sunday, I rediscovered your Oaks of Justice CD with "True Family, Lord I Give you my life, and Someone Supernatural." I think I've replayed it now dozens of times. Singing your songs with you two, I was having my very own healing service. It was like the Lord was here and enjoying the time with me. It was awesome. I am grateful.

Many thanks again. God bless you real good.

With love in Jesus,
Janet Howard
