Hey everyone!  Just in case you haven't heard, the Vatican released the following for our safety and well-being.  (It just so happened that I completed online traffic school on the day the Drivers' commandments came out this week! LOL ;)  But, I am a better person for learning and obeying the Laws of God and the laws of the Land.

So here we go>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

'Drivers' Ten Commandments'

The "Drivers' Ten Commandments," as listed by the document, are:

1. You shall not kill.

2. The road shall be for you a means of communion between people and not of mortal harm.

3. Courtesy, uprightness and prudence will help you deal with unforeseen events.

4. Be charitable and help your neighbor in need, especially victims of accidents.

5. Cars shall not be for you an expression of power and domination, and an occasion of sin.

6. Charitably convince the young and not so young not to drive when they are not in a fitting condition to do so.

7. Support the families of accident victims.

8. Bring guilty motorists and their victims together, at the appropriate time, so that they can undergo the liberating experience of forgiveness.

9. On the road, protect the more vulnerable party.

10. Feel responsible toward others.

Pentecost Sunday May 27th, 2007

"Receive ye the Holy Spirit!"  Praise God for His presence in each of our lives.  This morning we lead the music for a beautiful Spirit filled Mass with Fr. Luis @ Sacred Heart in Eureka. Powerful teaching today Father!

Then we checked out a couple of "Rainforest" acres for sale about a 20 minute drive from Eureka in Kneeland. Wow!  Yes, we are selling our 20 acres on Horse Mountain:(  Its just too far from town and the 5 feet of snow in the winter has been no fun at all!!!  Please pray for us that we can afford a place closer to town. Thanks!

Our friends Steve and Leslie Schell (former Oaks of Justice members) just moved to Austin, Texas. Please pray that they can find the right home.

Patrick Brown, our newest member, is writing a new song "I need to decrease" so pray that the Holy Spirit will annoint him in that work and the door to door evangelization efforts with Legion of Mary.

I actually started a song I call "Increase in me" which is unfinished.  I played it for Patrick over the phone and he came up with a new melody and mood with the same chords and part of the same words. (He sounds like a Catholic version of Ben Harper.)  John the Baptist inspired all this by declaring "I must decrease. He (Jesus) must increase."  Please pray we develop these works for God's Glory and to lead souls to follow Christ in all humility.

We would like to congradulate Cristela Burns and all those who received the Sacrament of Confirmation today!!! God bless you all. May the gifts and the fruit of the Holy Spirt explode in all of our lives. Amen!!!

Last but not least... Check out our newest FREE Mp3 AMAZING GRACE, a techno version by Mason Matteoli, on the Meet the Ministry Team page playing in the background.

Thanks again for your love and support~

                                            The sun also rises . . .                                     12/31/2007

Dear Heavenly Father,

Let your sun shine on me this morning. The same light shining revealed His glowing white garments during His Transfiguration on the mountain. That same burning sign of your love fell upon your Son’s face as he cast his eyes to you from the cross. How many times has the sun risen upon us since then? About 700,000 days or so?

Even today, the same sun that warmed the earth’s first day has already flown over India, Africa and Europe.  It was witness to a humble nun helping a poor child. It has shined on the pope as he pondered his task as Peter’s successor, and how to best fulfill your last commandments to him: "Feed my sheep, Shepherd my lambs." Later that day, it shined upon a man killing another man. Like the flash of a bulb it captured a man kissing his wife at an African wedding. And like a shooting star it was gone from their sight, racing to greet me in California. My fellow Americans and I are eager for another day. Awaiting another laugh, or story shared under the sun, we awake each in our own way. And for those who dread another day ---- to whom the sun is but a nuisance shining through the cracks in their blinds ---- the sun also rises . . .

Dear Eternal Son,

I am sorry Jesus for I have sinned against you. If it were not for your mercy I would have no hope at all. I have tasted the sweet air that flows from the high mountainous paths that lead to your City. But lured by the fruits in the valley I traveled down to where the multitudes move together like cattle, none of them positioned to lead another. Where they are heading, they know not. Cursed am I for I have known the high road, but chose the low. How sad it is that we originally were lured to sin by the promise of knowledge of good and evil, when evil is better left unknown and good only flows from you, oh God? Since then we have fallen deeper into sin. Like Peter did before your Passion, we say we don’t know you when the world comes asking. It must have been a dark night for him after you were crucified. But Peter was the first Apostle to discover after you rose that you will always give us another day to rise with you and share in your glory when we repent. Even for me, who has forsaken you so many times, the sun also rises. . .

Dear Holy Spirit,

Somewhere between our mind, body and spirit lies our will. And between the interactions with God, self, and our fellow neighbors lays our freedom. Grace flows between the mountain of justice and the swamps of evil, catching us in its current when we fall from one or climb to the other. And it is there, where freedom and grace meet, that you, oh holy breath of God, do your best gardening. Lead me back to the Garden of Eden that I may chose life eternal.

You speak in languages only the heart can understand. You speak even to those who know you not, for the law of God is written on their hearts, and that law is summarized by your love.

Your words never come back empty, but mine often do. But my words please you if they prompt action.

You have shown me your sense of humor in what some might call coincidences, but a friend of mine calls “God incidences”. You have shown us Mary, your bride and companion, who is “Full of Grace”. Over time, through your will, she has appeared in all her created glory, your perfect work of art, and claimed her queenship over heaven and earth. Thank you for her witness to us as Mother of Christians and of Christ, our LORD.

You are the Spirit of Truth and your work in the Church always amazes me. Now for all these things let me show you faith and gratitude with repentance of heart and penance in action. May my good works begin to provide fertile ground for your gardens as the swamps of evil drain away. Help me make up for my evil deeds and with hands raised in faith, stop the vile deluge that the world has called upon these lands. As Mary did more than 700,000 sunrises ago, I put myself at your service and say… "May it be done to me according to you Word!"

                                                Your adopted son,      Patrick

Ash Wednesday 2/21/07

May the next 40 days of fasting, merciful almsgiving and deeper prayer be a time of renewal for each of you in this Lenten 2007 season!  We miss all of you and are so thankful for the friendships that God has given us in you.
In June of 2005, as many of you know, we moved to Northern California. We sensed a call by God to start a new life for our selves and our kids up here near the beautiful Redwoods and Pacific Ocean on our 20 acres on Horse Mountain.  We are also called to reach out to the surrounding community with the faith that was passed on to us that inspires a passion to live for Christ.
We are building a cabin in our woods.  A "little house on the prairie" as Kimmy would say.  Our children are thriving.  Their creativity has skyrocketed and they have become our source of (barely affordable) entertainment :)
God has provided me with fulltime career opportunity at Advanced Security in Eureka, Ca as well as part-time DirecTV installs and the continuing Dish Network sales, customer service and local installs to help people get EWTN (Eternal Word Television Network) through  St. Joseph Radio of Orange, Ca.
All this has left little time to write new music and perform locally or at National Conferences as in 2005.  But we press on.  Fr. Luis, pastor at Sacred Heart Parish in Eureka has been a big supporter of our work and we thank him at this time for bringing us out to the Sacred Heart Parish Confirmation Retreat of Fall 2005, Lenten Mission, First Reconciliation services and special Masses such as Easter and Christmas Masses all in 2006.
We would also like to thank the President of St. Bernard's Elementary and high schools: Mr. Patrick Daly and the campus minister: Craig Brown for bringing us out to lead music for the schools monthly masses of 2005, 2006 and 2007 semesters.  It is such a pleasure to lead music for the Holy Mass in St. Joseph's Chapel and encourage those kids to sing out to God.  Today I was overwhelmed by the beauty of God and His Church as I sang a song I am working on called Ashes to Ashes as  Fr. Lorne distributed the ashes of last years Palm branches on to our foreheads in the sign of the cross.
We would also like to thank from the deepest part of our hearts three very special home schooling families up here that have done so much for us in our struggle to overcome difficulties and get settled into life here in Humboldt County.  Thank you Burns, Altics and Matteoli families soooooooooo much for all you've done for us.  I believe God will repay you 100 fold for your kindness, patience and generosity towards us.
Last but not least it want to take this moment to tell our former So Cal Oaks of Justice members how much we appreciate each of them. Thank you Steve and Leslie Schell, Jerry and Sabrina Rodriquez, Richard Newton, Dean Soto, and Kester Baily for their years of dedication to this ministry and the mission of Christ our LORD to save souls through His Grace and Power.
We pray for the work that Steve, Jerry and Richard are doing for God in So Cal as Agony Rose and we ask you God to bless all of these friends in all they do for you and your Kingdom.
So to honor these outstanding soldiers for Christ and the time, talent and tears that they put into the ministry and outreach of Oaks of Justice we present a colorful Collage that Steve created to remember our good times together.
